What the pack is for

The free uniform tax rebate calculator tells you the figure. The pack helps you act on it: a clean worksheet by tax year, the notes to give HMRC, a checklist of evidence and a check of reliefs you may be missing. Read the firefighter tax relief guide and the tax code guide for background.

Honest limits

It is not tax advice, does not submit claims and cannot promise any payment. Figures use the £80 HMRC flat rate and the rates you enter.

Frequently asked questions

What is in the Uniform Tax Rebate Claim Pack?

A printable multi-year claim worksheet with a rate for each tax year and claim-by dates, notes and a letter for HMRC, an actual-cost versus flat-rate comparison, a check of other reliefs (Marriage Allowance, professional subscriptions and the FBU point), a records checklist, saved reports and AI Q&A on your figures.

Will it get me more money than the free calculator?

No. The free calculator gives the same rebate figure. The pack organises the claim, keeps your records and checks whether other reliefs, such as Marriage Allowance, are worth more. For most people the uniform relief is about £16 a year at 20%.

Does it file the claim with HMRC?

No. You claim free through GOV.UK or HMRC's app. The pack prepares your numbers, notes and evidence. HMRC decides every claim.

Are FBU subscriptions claimable?

Not normally. The Fire Brigades Union was not on HMRC's List 3 of approved bodies when checked on 29 September 2026. The pack shows which subscriptions can qualify.

Is it a subscription?

No. £4.99 one time, guest checkout works, and a free account afterwards keeps access across devices.

Are my figures uploaded?

Entries stay in this browser. Asking AI, writing an AI summary or saving to your account sends or stores figures only when you choose. Your name and NI number in the letter are never stored. Analytics use coarse buckets only.
